Our Screening
Process
Safe and Sound Nannies provides you with screened and qualified
San Diego nanny candidates that have been matched to your family's
needs. We only send you candidates that are qualified and matched
to your position -- saving you time and energy. Safe and Sound
nannies does all the work -- locating, interviewing, screening,
reference checking and eliminating unqualified candidates.
Our selective screening process includes the following:
- Standardized, Statistically Validated Personality Screen
- Structured interview (2 hours)
- Employment Reference Checks
- Criminal Background Check
- Driving Record Check
Matching Candidates to Your Family/We Value Your Time!
Because of our selective screening process, and our emphasis
on matching a nanny to your family’s unique situation, many
families hire the first candidate we send them. Every nanny we
send you will have:
- Experience with the appropriate age group and number of children
in your family (We look for nannies who have a stable work history with previous employers)
- Verified references. We send you transcribed references,
including phone numbers. We encourage you to call all references
personally.
- Availability for the hours/schedule for which you need childcare
- Reliable transportation
- Appropriate location to your home in San Diego County
- English speaking or bilingual if preferred
- Long term availability
- Current CPR (sometimes in process of being updated)
- Clean driving record
- Clear criminal background check (including Trustline in California)
- Personality screen results that are consistent with reliable,
conscientious performance as a nanny
- Non-smoking
We believe that no agency in the industry provides more information to assist you in making the hiring decision.
We recommend that the nanny complete one week of trial days with your
family to ensure that it is the right match for both of you. The
nannies are paid by the family for any trial work days.
